Luckily, I got an invite code and started using Sora2!
But I still don’t know how to use it.
I feel the old version was better, but I can’t go back!
More importantly—why can’t I view the videos I created before!?
And many of them weren’t even saved yet...
Videos made in the old version cannot be opened!?
After switching to Sora2, videos created in the old version can no longer be viewed.
It’s a huge problem when videos you generated but didn’t download yet suddenly can’t be played.
This is especially serious if you were creating a story in parts, or left videos unsaved midway—you can no longer continue your work, and the process is interrupted.
Rescue with “Switch to old Sora”
Some accounts still display a “Switch to old Sora” button in the top-right menu.
Using this option allows you to temporarily return to the old version, reopen the videos you created before, and export them.
Press the account icon at the bottom right of the screen

Press the ⋯ at the top right, then select “Switch to old Sora”.

And yes, it worked—I went back!

All the videos I had created were still there!

You can return to the new Sora2 by pressing “Open New Sora” at the bottom right of the screen.

What you should do right now
- Export all unsaved videos while you can still switch back to old Sora
- Rescue all necessary materials, including those in the middle of a story
- This switch option may disappear anytime, so don’t put it off
Summary
While Sora2 brings new features and improvements, it also has a serious pitfall—videos created in the old version may not be viewable.
If you see the “Switch to old Sora” option, switch back immediately and rescue your videos before it’s too late.
