OpenAI Introduces ChatGPT Atlas — A New Sidebar AI Assistant, Now Available on macOS

On October 21, 2025, OpenAI announced ChatGPT Atlas, a new browser assistant that lets you access ChatGPT from a sidebar to summarize pages, compare information, and research without switching tabs. Atlas is available now on macOS worldwide, with Windows, iOS and Android support coming soon.

Atlas is a sidebar AI assistant integrated into your browsing and app workflow. You can open it on the side of your screen, ask questions about the page you’re viewing, and get summaries, explanations, or rewrites instantly.

- macOS: Available now to Free, Plus, Pro, Go, Business (beta), and selected Enterprise/Edu users.
- Windows / iOS / Android: In development — OpenAI says these platforms are “coming soon” (date not yet announced).

4. How to Start (macOS)
